June’s dip disappears after adjusting for month length. Its total fell 2.8%, but daily average views rose +0.5%. March shows the reverse: totals rose +9.2%, while the daily average fell 1.4%.

Renegade reported $13.29 million in campaign pledges from 55,972 backers. The earlier community snapshot reported 274,000 members and 185,000 added over a year. These units cannot be combined with pageviews to calculate adoption, conversion or revenue per reader.

Possible explanations
Hypothesis, release activity may amplify existing interest. The rights guide scheduled A Parade of Horribles for May 12, 2026, and the tabletop campaign closed in May. May’s pageview increase is consistent with publicity or existing fans looking up details, but interest was already rising in January and April and later exceeded May. A matched daily event study and independent search or sales series would help test whether these events explain the changes.
Tentative, recognition may broaden discovery. Penguin Random House reported a Books-A-Million Book of the Year selection in November 2025. Views subsequently rose in December and January, but holidays, word of mouth, news coverage or changed search visibility are competing explanations. One article’s traffic cannot distinguish them.
